Selection of Printing Consumables

In order to ensure the quality of printed products and meet customer requirements during multi-color printing on offset paper, it is necessary to control each link well. Today, the printing consumables company searched for relevant packaging printing plate content and believed that the focus should be on the following aspects.

1. Control of Printing Plate Quality

(1) When printing, slightly increase the actual exposure to make the dots on the plate slightly smaller than those on the film, in order to compensate for the increase in dots and printing consumables caused by pressure during printing.

(2) During the baking process, the printing plate undergoes a transition from cold to hot and then to cool, resulting in corresponding elongation and contraction phenomena. Therefore, to ensure accurate overprinting, baking is generally not recommended when performing multi-color printing.

(3) Proofreading should be proficient and accurate, minimizing printing consumables and proofreading times to avoid inaccurate overprinting caused by human elongation and deformation of the printing plate.

2. Control of pressure

(1) Due to the rough surface and good ink absorption performance of printing consumables such as plate paper, in order to make the printing ink thick and the dots clear, the pressure of printing consumables should be appropriately increased during printing.

(2) The pressure of the water roller and ink roller should be appropriate, while maintaining good water and ink transfer performance.

3. Selection of printing consumables

(1) Paper. In the process of multi-color printing, paper with good adhesive strength and strong printability should be selected to avoid phenomena such as fuzz and powder loss. At the same time, attention should be paid to the impact of paper pH on printing quality. Before printing, the paper should be hung and dried.

(2) Ink. Fast drying glossy ink is a penetration drying ink that can avoid powdering, dullness, sticking, and scratching caused by resin ink. It is more suitable for printing on offset paper, so it is recommended to use fast drying glossy ink.

(3) Rubber blanket. To ensure that the network can be well restored and the imprint can be well transferred, an air cushion rubber blanket should be selected.
