Is it better to transfer steel plates or transfer steel sheets?

Pad printing steel plate is a consumable material used in special printing pad printing machines. Pad printing steel plates include chromium steel, K460 steel, bearing steel, spring steel, and other materials. If it needs to be used during transfer printing, it also needs to be processed once, that is, the content that needs to be transferred is etched onto the steel plate through processes such as applying photoresist, exposure, development, corrosion, etc.
Thin steel plates have better flexibility, so the cleanliness of ink scraping is easy to ensure. However, this is related to the manufacturing accuracy of the substrate supporting the thin steel plate. If the surface tolerance of the substrate does not meet the requirements, ink will leak during the sliding process between the oil cup and the steel plate. Another factor is the manufacturing accuracy of the sliding guide shaft of the oil cup, such as surface roughness and fit tolerance, which are reflected in the overall assembly level of the machine. It is important to control the parallelism tolerance between the guide shaft and the steel plate.
From this point of view, the manufacturing difficulty of thick steel plate oil cup transfer printing machines is greater.
Resin version
The resin version has not been applied to transfer printing technology for a long time, but it has already received attention. The resin plate is mainly made of nylon photosensitive adhesive, cast on the surface of the zinc plate, similar to the resin plate used on self-adhesive trademarks. Nylon has excellent wear resistance and can withstand repeated friction from oil cups or scrapers after photosensitive curing.
The advantage of using resin plate is that it is easy to obtain extremely fine dots. When printing exquisite small items, resin plate is the preferred choice. If manufacturing oil cup transfer printing machines reflects a company's manufacturing level, then manufacturing transfer printing machines using resin plates will be more difficult. Nylon photosensitive adhesive belongs to polymer materials, and when the substrate supporting it has poor manufacturing accuracy, it is not easy for the transfer printing machine to complete general printing.
The surface state of polymer materials is very fine, and even slight defects can seriously affect printing quality.
