There are various printing methods, each with different operations, resulting in different printing effects. The traditional printing methods can be mainly divided into four categories: relief printing, planographic printing, intaglio printing, and stencil printing.
Relief Printing
Any printing surface that is protruding, rather than the printed area being concave, is called relief printing. Relief printing includes two types: letterpress and rubber plate.
Letterpress printing
Letterpress printing was developed from early clay type, woodcut type, and lead cast type. In modern times, most of it is mainly based on lead type layout. At the same time, this printing method belongs to direct printing because it is directly printed on paper by the printing plate.
The printing plates used in relief printing, except for the text part which uses lead type layout, use photographic plate making methods to produce zinc plates (commonly known as electric plates) for special fonts, patterns, images, etc. Recently, nylon offset plates have been developed to improve dot printing effects.
Generally, the letterpress printing plate is flat.

Printing accessories generally include rubber head holders, oil coated steel plate clips, ink return knives, rubber scraper aluminum clips, etc.
