Do you know about the maintenance of laser equipment

1. Pay attention to cleaning the lenses, guide rails, and debris on the workbench every day; Cleaning method for lenses: When cleaning lenses, anhydrous ethanol or 98% alcohol must be used as the cleaning solution. A small amount of degreasing cotton should be lightly dipped in alcohol and then wiped on the lens in a directed manner. Finally, dry cotton should be gently wiped on the lens to make it shiny and transparent; (Note that scrubbing too hard can easily wipe off the coating on the lens, causing damage to the lens)
The cleaning method of the guide rail: First, remove the stains and processing debris on the guide rail, and then add a little lubricating oil on the guide rail. Move the guide rail so that the lubricating oil can be evenly distributed on the guide rail. (Be careful not to use thick lubricating oil (butter). This type of lubricating oil can easily cause processing debris and dust to stick and twist on the guide rail, leading to damage to the slider and guide rail due to grinding);
Cleaning method for work platform: Work platforms include zinc iron alloy, honeycomb, track, blade and other workbenches. First, clean the processing debris on the workbenches. After six months of use, a little anti rust oil needs to be added to the tracks for rust prevention treatment. Other workbenches do not need it. (Note that the work platform cannot be cleaned with water easily, which can cause rusting and accelerate work oxidation.).

2. Regularly clean the exhaust fan and smoke pipe to maintain cleanliness;
Cleaning method for exhaust fan and smoke pipe: When there is a large amount of smoke and dust during processing, it is necessary to clean the fan by removing the fan cover, scraping off the dust on the fan blades and air ducts with a thin wooden sheet, and then blowing off the dust with a high-pressure air gun. The cleaning method for smoke pipe is the same as that for water cleaning of exhaust fan.
(Note: Do not let water enter the exhaust duct and do not extend it to damp places, such as sewers).

3. Regularly clean the radiator fins of the water tank;
Cleaning method of heat sink: The main purpose of heat sink is to dissipate the heat circulating inside the laser tube. Poor heat dissipation directly affects the laser output power. Cleaning of heat sink is very important,
Firstly, use a brush to remove dust from the heat dissipation, then use a high-pressure air gun to clean the inlet with gas. Afterwards, pour air conditioning heat sink cleaning solution onto the heat sink for cleaning, rinse with water, and dry before use.

4. The mechanical transmission part of the equipment needs to be lubricated once a month;
Maintenance rules for the mechanical transmission part of the equipment: The mechanical transmission part includes synchronous wheels, bearings, smooth wheels, smooth rods, etc. The main oiled parts are the bearings. The synchronous wheels, smooth wheels, and smooth rods should be treated with rust prevention, and the connecting bearings should be lubricated with clean oil once a month.

5. The circulating water needs to be replaced once a week;
Maintenance rules for circulating water: Circulating water is mainly used to dissipate heat from the laser tube, directly affecting the power and service life of the laser tube. Pure water must be used for circulating water, which makes the laser tube wall less prone to scaling. When the water becomes turbid, it must be replaced with circulating water. The optimal water injection amount is 3/2 of the water tank. If it is less than 3/1, water must be added, otherwise the laser tube may rupture.

6. New laser equipment, with laser output power well controlled below 80%;


7. In order to prolong the service life of the laser tube, it is recommended to work continuously for 5 hours and rest for about 10 minutes before resuming work.


8. Maintenance of Laser Tube: For new laser equipment, it is important to control the laser output power below 80%. This is mainly because the gas in the new laser tube is relatively full, which can cause rapid gas consumption during high-power processing, resulting in a decrease in the lifespan of the laser tube. When working continuously for 5 hours, take a 10 minute break before resuming work. The main reason is that long-term operation of the laser tube can cause the temperature to rise, resulting in unstable and weakened power.
