How to protect transfer printing steel plates?
Pad printing steel plate is a consumable material used in special printing pad printing machines. Pad printing steel plates include chromium steel, K460 steel, bearing steel, spring steel, and other materials. If it needs to be used during transfer printing, it also needs to be processed once, that is, the content that needs to be transferred is etched onto the steel plate through processes such as applying photoresist, exposure, development, corrosion, etc.
The occurrence of pinholes during the use of transfer printing steel plates is generally due to the ink still covering the steel plate when not in use for a long time, or it may be caused by high humidity in the working environment. Generally, if serious pinholes occur, they can only be scrapped.
So the protection method for transfer printing steel plate:
1: Every day after work, clean the ink on the steel plate and apply butter or rust proof oil;
2: When cleaning steel plates, do not soak them in solvents for too long;
3: After cleaning, immediately apply butter or rust proof oil on both sides of the steel plate, and then store it vertically in a plastic bag.
The use of transfer printing steel plates occupies a controlling position in transfer printing technology. 100% of oil basin transfer printing machines and 16% of oil cup transfer printing machines use thick steel plates with a thickness of about 15mm; 77% of oil cup transfer printing machines use thin steel plates with thicknesses of 0.25mm and 0.5mm, and the plate making technology is the same for both thin and thick steel plates. The substrate used is also roughly the same. It is necessary for steel plates to have precise arrangement and construction, and the surface smoothness should be high enough.
